For a few years my younger brother Dan has asked if I would be interested in biking from the west coast to RAGBRAI. I told my boss about a year ago that I would need two months off during the summer of 2010. We started to explore travel arraingments, decided that the best option for transporting the bikes and gear was by train. The train ride would be new experience for both of us.
I am the oldest of three boys, my bother Dan is the youngest and is younger by 5 years. I work for a major defense contractor, Dan works the front desk at the Fairfield by the Mall of America. I like to spin, Dan likes to be in the hardest gear.
I am riding a 19 year old Trek 520 (stamped 520 21 91 0405 with a SN 982304). Dan is riding a Fuji road bike.

Hi, Wayne. I’ve just been catching up with your trip. Since I last saw you in California, I was pretty amazed to see you’re in Utah already. That means you’re almost to Boston. It’s fun to read your posts and imagine your days. I must admit I don’t know where you have the energy at the end of the day to write anything!
