Taking a day off at the Fairfield to take care of a few thinks and to allow my leg muscles to regenerate. I used the hot tub last night and had a very good night’s sleep. Doing wash and then off to downtown to the Pedal House bike shop to look at my front wheel which still shakes when going faster than 15. Canyon Cycle was to have fixed this but did not.
Joel at Pedal House did not have way to test the front wheel for vibration but did suggest that I remove the reflector. Removed it an purchased three CO2 cartriges. Asked about a suggested route through Nebraska, it looks like following hwy 30 which parellels I80 is the best route. Talked about muscle pain and Joel indiated that needed to drink more fluids and increase the salt intake. He also indicated that peanut is a great energy food, much cheaper than the energy bars and products.
Then to the bank, Wells Fargo for some cash. And finally to Walmart for Gatorade, 64 oz for a $1, a third of the price at most convenince stores. Coming back we spent some time on the bridge over the railroad tracks. Railroad track is built up from sections that are manufactured in Japan to a length of 1/4 mile.

Wayne, you guys keeping a tally of the number of flats you’ve had? Especially from those “wires”? Still am in awe that you took this trip with minimal conditioning and are just hammering through it. Best wishes for continued good luck with weather and for the safety of the both of you.
